These photos were taken at the Sundown Island Spring Workday. Volunteers work together to get the island ready for breeding season.
(L to R): Isaac, Ed, Rebeka Linda and Hannah Olson. The Olson family has been helping Chester with Sundown Island for better than 15 years. Linda has been coordinating lunch for the volunteers as long as I can remember; Ed and his sons and daughters have helped build nesting stands, the dock, the shed and mount the Audubon signs on the island. Hannah and Rebeka have been helping with photos on workdays. Isaac did his Eagle Scout project on the island, an experimental tree plot for habitat. They are planning to move to Rexburg, Idaho. Our loss, but Idaho's gain! (Photo credit: Marcy Spears)
