2007 Annual Census - SundownIsland's Photos

These photos were taken on Sundown Island two weeks before the annual census.

SundownIsland > Lots of Royal Terns on the North end of the island. Notice the juvenile Brown Pelicans in the foreground, probably part of the first batch of nesters.

SundownIsland > It was so windy the day we visited the island, all of the birds were struggling to stay put on whatever perch they chose.

SundownIsland > On of my favorite things is to watch pelicans fly. I never get tired of it.

SundownIsland > Mostly Royal Terns. I was fascinated by the Escher like pattern that they formed, all nestled together.
